Phonics can be used as a tool for enabling them with the sound of each letter. Every letter in English has a particular sound. With phonics, children can identify vowels, consonants and different syllable. This makes reading easy for the tiny tots.
The Little Grasshopper has seeded from the thought to make children master the art of reading and writing in English by making them well-versed at Phonics. Our vision is to transform the little ones into the thoughtful readers and articulate writers of tomorrow.
She is passionate to bring out a difference in the way Indian children perceive English language and learn the subject. This led to the inception of her brainchild “The little Grasshopper” in the year 2013. It has been half a decade that she is pouring love for the same and her efforts have transformed a tiny sapling to the lovely reading garden it is, today. She opines that not only the children but the trainers also need to polish their English skills. She has successfully armed many Sheroes, and now they are taking her torch forward.
On being asked about the capacity of the training class she affirms, "I started with just five children, now I teach about 50 children every year and have seen children grow leap and bounds with this way of learning… I have trained about 350 teachers so far…"
My vision is that every child should learn this way of learning language, just because its very easy, fun and builds the right foundation and self-confidence in them. My dream is to train more than 100 plus teachers every year, and every child goes through this method of learning. Let us create and spread the joy of learning and make a difference in each child’s life.
